Hiding Day 12: The End of Halle...

Hello, I am Samantha Hunter reporting to you from channel 6 news blog. If your wondering why I am writing this, you will find out soon. This is no longer a diary entry. This is the story of Halle and her friends who were in hiding. The capturing of Seventh Day Adventists has stopped I reapeat it has stopped. Every is back to doing the same things as they use to. A lot of the people who were trying to capture the SDA's are M.I.A. Some of the Seventh Da Adventists who were captured though are also M.I.A. They are absolutely no where to be found.

Let me get back to why I am writing this though. Halle and her friends put up a great. As you read in her last blog, their food supply went out. They were trying to survive on water, but that soon ran out also. They died on Thursday May 9, 2014 from starvation and dehydration at 11:56 pm. They were 4 minutes away from seeing a new day.

 This is so sad. When I heard this I cried for hours. I wonder how the people who started all of this nonsense feel. I want them to suffer the way that all of the Seventh Day Adventists did. When God comes back he will do what he wants with them it is not up to me what happens to them. I just hope and pray that their will be justice. HCM you will live on in our prayers. Hiding Day 11

Dear Diary, 
I am still in hiding obviously, but now our food supply has run out. There was someone that was helping us to get food but they can no longer  assist us. The soldiers have found out that they are helping us and have arrested the person. We made a garden so that if this happened we would have a backup plan. That amazing backup plan has just been backed up and stomped on. What I mean is that some animals came and ate all of the food and the soil have been destroyed. I have no idea what we are going to do now. I guess we are just going to have to survive on water, if that even lasts. Wait did I forget to mention that my friends are at each other's throats again. And get this, it is over the same boy that is still no where to be found. I just wish they will be blithely again. Well till next time diary. Unless I die from starvation.

Hiding Day 10

Dear Diary, 
I cannot believe it but we actually survived the big storm. Wait why am I saying survived, there was no storm at all. It was all just a hoax. I am very thankful for. Now that everthing has diled down a bit something new has risen up. That have now installed Martial Law. At first it was just impasse. Now they are enforcing it. 

I am just waiting for all of this torture to end so that I can go back home and sleep in my warm bed for however long I want. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that I do not like the new law, but I would like to see sunlight and breath air that has not been contaminated by my friends being sick. I wish that God would just come and take us away from here already. It seems like his second coming is not coming anytime soon so all I have to do not is pray, read my bible, and help my friends to stay commited to him. It is so hard to help them stay commited though because they are mercurial at times. They know it and that is what bugs me the most. They see that I am trying so hard to help them but they are not trying to control their mood swings. Well I will just have to deal with them later. Bye bye for now diary.

Hiding Day 9

Dear Diar, 
There is a big storm coming and I do not know what is going to happen. It is going to be a mix between a thunder-storm, flash flood, earthquake, and tornado. I am hoping that no one gets hurt and also that the storm will just pass us completely. Luckily when my parents built this place they built it for these types of storms, but it is so old I doubt that the house can still withstand these storms. Even though this is true, one of the girls are being a pedantic. I cannot stand it. She keeps trying to correct every little thing and it annoys our butts.This might be my last time writing to you ever. I was really hoping that in would be able to survive long enough to see the day day when they would stop trying to capture us who are Seventh Day Adventists. I guess only time will tell. Incase i do die and someone finders this diary, I would just like to thank God for keeping me alive this long, I would like to thank my parents for building this place, and I will also like to thank the people who helped me to go into hiding. Hiding Day 8

Dear Diary,
Today we are relocating to a different binding spot it seems like someone has found out about the area where we have been hiding and the soldiers are searching for us. The place where we are relocating to is a place my parents took me to all the time when I was little and it is about 300 miles from our old hiding spot. It is very beautiful and secured so no one will be able to find it. I think that we will be more comfortable here and the conditions are better. No all of us are going though. One of the guys who just joined our group decided that he was not going to go and he was very adamant about it. I just hope and pray that he will not get caught and that we won't get caught either. Hiding Day 7

Dear Diary,
There is a lot of conflict going on between my friends who are in hiding with me. I can't believe that I am saying this but they are fighting over a boy. It just fathoms me that while we are hiding trying not to be found they are fighting over a boy that is who knows where. They are now fighting over who gets to have the last pancake from breakfast and some other things. I have no clue what to say to these girls. They have never fought like this before and it is tearing their friendship up. They want me to chose between the two of them who is right and I do not want to do that. I am hoping that this situation can turn around for the better because right now it looks like they are going to turn on each other. Sigh... God please show me what to do to help my friends. 😕 Well we will I will just have to wait and see how this turns out.

Hiding Day 3 Part 2

Dear Diar,
I am still in hiding and one of my best friends are helping we with hiding. He is trying to see if he can sneak in some things so that I can some what of my normal life back. He has bought a divan for me so that I can sleep on that instead of sleeping on the floor. I just hope that he does not get caught. They have increased the number of guards because they have found that we Adventists are being able to sneak things without getting caught. I just want this to stop, it is beyond absorb. Hiding Day 6

Dear Diar,
A couple of days ago 6 of my friend joined me in my hiding place. I am very happy now because I have someone to talk to and I am not alone. One of my friends though has became ill with the chicken pox. She needs the nesisary medication to get better. I do not know what to do because to get the medication I would have to come out of hiding and risk getting captured. There is no one in our group than has any medical experience and even if one us did it would not help, we need help from the outside. Well we will see what happens in the near future... Love Halle~

Hiding Day 5

Dear Diar,
I have lost all of my communication with the outside world. I am stuck somewhere in Canada without any technology. I cannot stand this any more I think that sooner or later my head will explode from the amount of anger I have of being in hiding. When I was at home I would be on my phone almost all the time talking to my friends and such, but now I have no way of doing this. The ignoramuses who are trying to capture me and all of the Seventh Day Adventists are nuts. I really wonder how they would feel if someone was trying to capture them. I guess I will never know. Hiding Day 4

Dear Diar,
I am still in hiding and thankfully no guards have come around the area were I am hiding. I am missing home so so much. I am especially missing my bed room. This place was always my safe-haven, my persona teen girl heaven, but now I am stuck in here wishing that I was once again there on my queen size bed. Without my bed I feel lumbago. I despise this feeling so much. I cannot wait to get out of here and return to my bedroom. I am sorry that I did not get to write more today, but I will try tomorrow. Till next time... HOPEFULLY.

What I read today in Anne Frank

Today in class I picked up from were I left off in Anne Frank. In this section Anne was talking about all of the different books she was reading and also the Authors. She was also talking about how she hated the difficult math problem she was doing. I know for my self I was feeling just like that about 2 hours ago when I was doing my math test. I found it amazing that she was doing French and translating things. I cannot speak French at all and I also cannot translate anything. I am very happy that Anne and Margot are once again buddies. Sibilings always have fights but they should always become friends again. I cannot believe that Anne gained 19 pounds though wow. Well I will find out more in the book tomorrow.

What I Read Today

Today in class we picked up from the spot we left off in the book The Diary of a Girl and read for 15 minutes. I found that the spot that I took up from showed how much of an irritating boy Peter really is. He his a lazy bum who does not listen to his parents and no one can take him seriously. I found it funny that he was worrying because his tong wis blue instead of pink. I personally believe that this boy thinks that he is the Prince of England and I also believe that his mom thinks that she is the Queen. The reason that I feel this way about his mother is because she is alway complaining about something, trying to act all proper, and she is all of material things. I do not think that the Queen of England acts this way but this woman is a royal pain. She literally gets on Anne for how she behaves but she does nothing about her own sun who is as well behaved as a snake. I cannot wait to read more about these two royal pains. 

I next read about how the Gestapo is taking the Jews away in droves to Westerbork. It is a big camp in Drenthe. The Gestapo are treating the Jews roughly and transporting them in cattle cars. From what I have read, this place is really bad. I cannot believe that someone managed to escape.

Hiding Day 3

I have just gotten word that someone very close to me had been imprisoned. She was walking around blithely forgetting that we are at risk of being captured. She tried to run the guards out but failed. I am so scared that they will kill her and I am also afraid that the guards will soon find me. I am so ardor to be able to come out of hiding. I can not stand being afraid of someone finding me and not being able to see the sun. I want to be able to run around and hangout with my friends. I just want these people to stop trying to capture use and let us be free to worship who we want and do what we want. Till next time diary... I HOPE

Hiding Day 2

It is day number two of me being in hiding because of my religion. I am even more terrified than I was yesterday. The reason why I am so terrified is because they are now starting to search for the Seventh Day Adventists some what near the area where I am. By they I mean the Catholics. If they find me I have no clue what the will do to me. The could lock me up, torture me, and even worse they can kill me.

I have learned that Catholic did not always refer to the Roman Catholic Church. The c was not even capitalized. The word catholic use to refer to universal. Universal meant everyone. We were all Catholics until the Catholic Church decided to change everything and were not focusing completely on God. This is when we started having the different denominations. The division is destroying our credibility. We need to cry together like Joseph. We need to become united again like we once were. We need to put our focus back on god. Well goodbye for now diary I will write in you again soon... MAYBE.

Why I Am Going Into Hiding

Hiding Day 1
Today I am going into hiding and I have no clue how long I will be hiding for. The reason why I am going into hiding is because I am a Seventh Day Adventist. We who are Seventh Day Adventists are all in danger. Some of the restrictions are that I cannot by or sell anything, I can not go to some school, and I can not hang out at my friends houses anymore who are not Seventh Day Adventist. I can't even have a bible. 
These are just some of the reasons as to why I am leaving. I cannot take any of these new laws that they have made. I are trying to imprison me for my religion. What ever happened to freedom of religion. Does no one remember this being written down in an important document. I wonder how these people who are trying to imprison me would feel if someone was trying to take away everything they loved. I bet that they would not like it one bit. They might even start a riot are war. I am just thankful that there is a God above who will protect me and also the other Seventh Day Adventist people through these hard times.

The Holocaust... What I know about it

I learned that the holocaust was the killing of 9 million Jews. These Jews were taken from their homes and put in concentration camps. They suffered so much pain while in their. The women were separated from the men. There were times when the guards would gather up some Jews and put them into a gas chamber. In her they would throw in a type of gas that would burn all of the Jews and basically make them into dust. I also learned that the reason why or at least on reason why Hitler did this was because he was part Jewish and he hated his own people.

I learned this information from 5 sources. This first source was Hanna's Suitcase. The next source was the Boy in the Stripe Pajamas. I read the book and watched the movie version of it. I also read Anne Frank and watch the movie. I watched these movies at my old school many times and we went to a Holocaust museum for a field trip one year so that we could find out more information about this tragic even that took place. What I would like to know about the Holocaust that I do not already know is who is the oldest Holocaust survivor

Freedom Writers

In class our teacher showed us a movie called Freedom Writers. It is based on the book The Freedom Writer's Diary. It is a true story about students who are all but one in different gangs. They are trying to survive in the lifestyle they are in. They come to school everyday and school is the only place where they can be some what "safe." If was very hard for them to trust their teacher Erin Gruwell, but in the end they never wanted to leave her. She also got them to become a family. She inspired them and made their lives better. 

My project experience.

This week in class my teacher gave us assignment to make come up with an Idea for a project on water. The group that I was in decided that we would have an Earth Day Celebration. Our Goal is to raise awareness about global water issues. This celebration would consist of having a contest to see who could bring collect the most plastic bottled waters and soda cans for recycling. We will give out a prize for the person who does this. 

We also have some more thing that we will be doing such as  having a blind taste test. You will be tasting different brands of bottled water and tap water. We will be campaigning against plastic water bottles, and promote the use of reusable water bottles. Lastly, we will create awareness about the people who do not have clean drinking water in different countries and tell people how they can help. Why is Writing so Important?

In English class, my teacher gave us an assignment to read 2 articles. Both of these articles were about the importance of writing. The first article was about how you can either win a job because of your writing skill or lose it. One of the main things that stud out to me in the article was the section titled Proofread, proofread, proofread. The reason It stud out to me is because I usually make mistakes in this area. This article showed me that I need to work on this or I can face the consequence of not getting a decent job.

The next article gave 3 reasons why writing is important to any profession. The 3 reasons are that it forces you to think, you take on a different viewpoint, and you will be better at communicating verbally. What the person who wrote this article means by it forces you think is, when you write you look outside the box in. By taking on a different viewpoint, you think how the person you are writing to would react. Basically you are putting yourself in their position (shoes). When you write you are not just practicing your writing skills, you are also practicing your verbal skills. This can help you be more clear when you speak. Dear Mrs. Aniston
My name is Halle Montrose and I would like to inform you about a topic that is a burning sensation in my heart. There is an issue about bottled water in our world today that is kind of scary. There are water bottled companies that are tricking people into thinking that drinking bottled water is healthier than drinking tap water when it isn't. Bottled water is basically tap water just with a fancy label on the cover.
Also if you look at the effects that these companies have had on the different countries because of bottled water and the effects of our use of bottled water. When we are finished drinking bottled water and throw them away the are "recycled" but is this really true. I do not think so because it is a fact that companies ship the empty bottles over to countries like India and the bottles end up in the peoples backyards. Do you really think that this is a product that you should be promoting after reading this.
 I know that you get paid for promoting this product but please take a time to think about how many live they are affecting peoples lives and the atmosphere. It is not easy for these people to stand up for them selves because the big companies can over rule them any time of the day. The celebrity world can though. If every celebrity who promotes water stand up and says no it can make a big difference. I am not hating you for promoting bottled water because I know it is your job, but pleases think about all of its consequences.

I did not feel right while writing this letter becaus it is her job. I cannot talk bad about her because this is how she makes her money even though she makes it in other forms of media. It is not my job to judge her and I honestly believe that she is a caring person. This is exactly how I felt. Also I think that the reason that we write to celebrities is because we think that they are very powerful and the really are. Sometimes it might make a difference and sometimes it won't. Reason being is because they get a lot of letter each day and may not be able to read all of them even though they might want to. Well this is the end of another one of my famous blogs. What I learned about Bottled Water

Today in class my teacher had us do three things. We had to fist do a survey, second watch a watched two videos, lastly we had to taste samples of water. After we tasted the water we had to grade it in the different categories.

The survey was about bottled water and it asked three questions. The first question  was how offten do you drink bottled water. My answer to this was more the 1x/day. The second was why do you drink bottled water. I said that I drink it because bottled water tastes better than tap water. The finally question that survey asked was how much do you pay for water. I didn't really know how much I payed for water so I guesses and saidn$0.50-0.99/bottle.

As is said after we did the survey we watched two videos. The first video that I watched was about Bottled Water vs Tap Water. The video stated that many people say that they trink bottled water because it tastes better and tap water tastes like sewer. After doing tests on the tap water and 5 different brands of bottled water they realized that there was no difference between them.

The second video was called The Story of Bottled Water. The lady in the video said that when you typically test bottled water against tap that some the bottled is cleaner and sometimes it isn't. She said  that in many ways bottled water is less regulated than tap. In taste test around the country people choose tap water more than bottled. A while back when companies were starting to make bottled water people laughed and said that they get water practically for free. Because of this the companies started to scare people into thinking that the tap water was not safe. 1/3 of all bottled water in the U.S.   comes from the tap they have just been filtered. The video also stated that wen we dispose of the bottles that 80% of the end up in landfills or are burned. The rest of them are sent to India for recycling. The ones that are recycled though are were not all recycled. The parts that could not be recycled were put into people's backyards in India.

Now for the last assignment of the day. Like I said we had to tast water and score it. We tasted 3 different types of water. The categories for scoring were flavor, odor, and aftertaste. We had to score the water from 1 to 5 which 1 was the worst. After the whole survey was over our facilitator told us what each water was. I realized that I scored tap water as the highest. The other two were bottled water and the taste horrible especially the second one I taste. I gave it a one for each category.

Now that I know that tap is just filter bottled water I might just drink it. I realized that these companies are just trying to trick us into buying their products. Life on the Other Side

How would my life be different if I was born to a poor family that makes $1/day in a developing country in Africa? Also what is my responsibility as a Christian to people who happened to be born in an underdeveloped area of the world and who don't have access to basic necessities of life? In this blog you will see my answer to all of these questions and I will also be talking about avideo that my teacher had us watch in class.

My life would be different in so many ways if I lived in a developing country. One example is that I would probably be walking to school instead of riding in a bus or car. I would not have the nice clothes that I have right now. I would also probably sleep on the floor instead of on a comfy bed.

Another example is that I would probably not have a lot of food or water so I would not eat much food or even healthy food. Because of this I would not be able to think straight in school if I was able to go to school. So my grades would drop tremendously. Soon I would just drop out because I was failing so much.

I am a Christian and I want to help these people who are living in developing countries. Here are some examples on how I can help them. For instance I think every one even if they are not Christians know how to this, I would pray for them. You can donate money to help them get the things they need. You can also get together with an organization and go over to the country and try to help them get to a better state of life.

The video that my teacher had us watch called Charity Water explained alittle bit more about this subject. Did you know that there is a water crisis in our world? Well if you didn't you know now. The video stated that nearly 1 billion people in the world live without clean drinking water. It is especially happening in developing areas. Water not only affects your health but also your education, poverty, and also women and children. It is very sad and mostly affects the women and girls living I these countries because they spend hours each day fetching water and do not have time for an education and the trip is very dangerous. The water that they collect has so much germs in it. They know it is but what choice do they have. This is their only source of water. Almost 1 billion people live like this every day.

Well this is the end of another one of my blogs. We can help these people. There are so many solutions to this water crisis. Remember, to give is to recieve but do not think that every time that you give you have to get something back in return especially if it is physical. You might just recieve the satisfaction of helping someone who was in need. And if you have anymore suggestions on how we can help these people please feel free to share.

How to Determine if Water is Potable

How do we know that water is potable (drinkable) or not? In this addition of my blogs I will explain to you how we can tell if it is. So sit back relaxation and relax and enjoy the ride. And if you want comment if you want to.

Acording to www.cdc.gov/healthywater/drinking/public/drinking-water-faq.html the The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is responsible for making sure that public water supplies within the United States are safe. Congres passed the Safety Drinking Water Act in 1974. The law is there to make sure that the water is good for us to drink. You can also bring someone into make sure that the water has no contaminats in it such as germs or chemicles. The web site says that if you are concerned about your water being contaminated in your home'a water system then you can contact your state drinking water certification officer. This person can give you  a list of certified laboratories in your state. Depending on how many contaminants you want to test , the test can cost from $15 to hundreds of dollars. There is also a hotline that you can contact that can give you information on some testing methods it is called the Safe Drinking Water Hotline.

My Experience on the DHMO website

Today in English class my teacher assingnde us to go on the DMHO website. At first I did not know what to expect. Mostly because I had no idea what DMHO was. When I fInally reached the website I started to understand what it was. Now read on to see what I mean.

 DMHO stands for Dihydrogen Monoxide. It is a colorless and odorless chemical compound.   This information has come from -          http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html#CONCERN  Some examples of DMHO are, Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or Hydric acid. I think I have got you locked in on my writing so let me tell you about what I thought when I was finished reading about DMHO. This chemical needs to be BANNED, it is a toxin and can kill you if you breath in too much of it. My thoughts all changed when my teacher started a discussion with the class.

We got duked. Sure this is a deadly chemical but there is one thing that the website did not point out. DMHO, is .... WATER. Yes, this chemical is basically water. Now you can't ban water can you? No, you cannot it is our source of life. So from hearing this I thought we cannot possibly get rid of DMHO, even though I think we should. What we can do is study more about it and what kind of damages the chemical can actually cause. Who knows maybe the website was totally wrong about it.

This expedience has taught me two thing. Number one I need to study science more. Reason being I would have never guessed that this toxic chemical was also water. The second thing I learned was that when I research something I should look into it more. Who knows I can learn something new that   I never knew was true.

The Freedom of Water

Water is so important to our daily lives. We bath with it, use it to cook, and we drink it. Without water our lives in my opinion would be dull. I would feel life less. I would have no energy at all.

 Here are some benefits of drinking water. One benefit is that you will increase your energy and decrease fatigue. It removes by- products of fat and reduces your eating intake. It flushes out the toxins in your body. It improves your skin completion. It is also a natural way to stop your headache.
